Bourton House doll's house to be sold - 15/04/2010

Bourton House doll's house to be soldA doll's house replica of the 18th century Bourton House is set to go under the hammer.

The model of the Gloucestershire manor house is sure to be a popular lot for doll house collectors and admirers of historical buildings alike, and is expected to fetch £3,000, according to the BBC.

Built to scale, the piece is an exact copy of the manor both internally and externally.

A total of 24 rooms are revealed when the facade of the house is opened, each one as intriguingly accurate as the next.

Included in the interior are the house's staircase, fireplaces, flagged stone floors and even a fitted kitchen which was installed in the 1980s.

The 1980s kitchen features on account of the fact that the scale model was built in that decade by Ellie Yannas, who then-owner Richard Paice met at the Chelsea Crafts fair, the news provider reports.

The doll's house will be auctioned by Chorley's in Gloucestershire on April 24th.ADNFCR-3014-ID-19723751-ADNFCR
