Christie's will be auctioning the collectibles on June 24th as part of its Popular Culture: Rock and Pop Memorabilia sale. The first installment from owner Brad Rodgers The Who collection will be a highlight. Items on offer include guitars, posters, awards, signed records and clothing linked to the Rock and Roll band.
Mr Rodgers has collected these objects since 1988 and has always been a fan of the group. He said: "Although it's the music that really defines the artist, each piece of memorabilia represents a small fragment of time in their career."
This installment of over 65 lots is estimated to fetch more than £100,000 and includes a custom-made guitar played by John Entwistle, a jumpsuit worn by Keith Moon and a vintage guitar played by Pete Townshend.
Other collectibles being sold include original artwork for Fatboy Slim's Greatest Hits album cover in 2006 and a page from Paul McCartney's sketchbook when he was a student.
The Who were at the height of their fame during the late 1960s, 70s and early 80s.
