Christie's Hong Kong will be hosting a single-owner wine sale at the Mandarin Oriental Hotel on September 18th.It will be selling nearly 400 cases of wine from a top chateau in Bordeaux and the auction house expects to make in excess of £2 million in total.
The wines are part of a corporate collection from Korean company SK Networks, which has developed the high-quality selection over a number of years.
David Elswood, international director of wine at Christie's Asia and Europe, said: "The collection, which consists of great Bordeaux wines from the finest First Growths and other famous chateaux put together with impeccable taste, provides a perfect opportunity for wine collectors to acquire top vintages in excellent condition."
Over 80 cases with a vintage between 1990 and 2006 from Chateaux Lafite-Rothschild are going under the hammer and are estimated to fetch £54,000.
Another 60 cases from the Chateaux Latour will also be up for grabs and these are expected to sell for a total of £28,000.
Bordeaux is a town in northern France and is home to 10,000 wine-producing chateaux and 13,000 grape growers.
