Prints on display at Museum of Modern ArtA new installation has been opened at the Museum of Modern Art (MoMA) in New York collecting together a number of prints and designs from the modern age.

Shaping Modernity: Design 1880-1980 features objects from the museum's own collection that show off changing artistic approaches to the modern world.

Housed in the Philip Johnson Architecture and Design galleries until July 2010, the exhibition includes the 1893 lithograph Folies-Bergère La Loïe Fuller by French artist Jules Chéret.

Billboards, graphics, textiles and furniture will also be showcased, with Paolo Lomazzi and Jonathan De Pas' famous 1967 Blow Inflatable Armchair on display.

The 300 works that make up the exhibition will be organised into various sections.

These include Art Nouveau, which collects together objects and prints from 1890 to 1940 and The New Typography, focusing on the early 20th century graphic design movement.

Among the MoMA's exhibitions on show throughout January is Bauhaus 1919-1933: Workshops for Modernity, which explores paintings from the famous German school of art.ADNFCR-3014-ID-19535443-ADNFCR
