Star Trek memorabilia is going under the hammer on June 27th in Las Vegas, with all proceeds going to charity.Julien's Auctions is hosting the event at Planet Hollywood and all items on sale are from the Roddenberry estate.
Highlights include a script for an episode of Star Trek: The Next Generation which was annotated by creator Gene Roddenberry and is estimated to fetch £1,292 to £1,939.
Other items include an outfit worn by Majel Roddenberry in Star Trek: The Next Generation and Deep Space Nine. Cast bronze statues and a baby grand piano are also up for auction.
Rod Roddenberry, Gene's son, said: "My father would be proud that his memorabilia will not only be enjoyed and cherished by Star Trek fans, but that the proceeds will benefit society on a larger scale."
William Shatner is also donating property to the sale with proceeds going to a horse charity, which lets physically and mentally impaired children enjoy riding.
His Harley Davidson motorbike is up for grabs as well as the plaque he was given when he received a star on the Walk of Fame and other Star Trek collectibles.
The money from the Roddenberry estate will benefit the Roddenberry Foundation, which makes grants to children, education and the environment.
