Wedgwood neoclassical brooch mounted in silver with paste stones, London 1973

This is a very unusual brooch that comprises an excellent quality neoclassical Wedgwood plaque that is mounted in silver with paste stones. It is hallmarked JW with London hallmarks that date it to 1973. JW stands for Josiah Wedgwood & Sons Ltd. Wedgwood had their own silver workshop where they created many pieces set in sterling silver mainly in the 1970s and 1980s.
