Brass and Enamel Campaign Serving Set, Made in British India mark, 1920s

This is an attractive set of three small serving dishes, presumably for sweetmeats or cakes, hinged to fold flat and be used as a travelling or 'campaign' item. The central dish rotates around a pivot which can be tightened to hold it in position when open and the side dishes drop down in alignment. The brass body is decorated in relief modelled enamels with stylised floral designs in red, blue, turquoise and cream typical of Anglo British work in the early 20th century. Each of the dishes and the hinges are marked '2.6' and the two outer dishes are stamped 'Made in British India' in addition.
Size: 23cm x 16cm open, each dish is 11cm in diameter
Weight: 285 gm
Date: 1920s
Condition: Very good condition
Estimate: £30 – 40
