delicately decorated in the Ming style using the 'heaping and piling' effect in underglaze blue, the globular body encircled with a typical band of scrolling lotus pattern, below a double raised band, the curving shoulder with a stylised ruyi lappet band and a further scrolling lotus border, separated by two individual raised bands, the elegant flaring neck decorated with plantain leaves above a key-fret border, with another ruyi lappet band below crashing waves leading to the neck rim, the base of the body with a thick lappet band above a slightly raised foot decorated with foliate scrolls, the base with a well-drawn six-character Xianfeng mark

此瓶以明代青花瓷常用的勾勒点染技法绘饰, 通体绘有青花纹饰, 瓶身主体及瓶肩均绘有莲花缠枝纹, 口沿有海浪及如意云纹, 颈部饰蕉叶纹, 并有三道凸弦纹, 肩下部以如意纹, 近瓶足处绘有宽厚的垂片纹, 足部饰忍冬纹, 瓶底有 "大清咸丰年制" 楷书款。整件花瓶纹饰流畅, 青花艳丽
