of typical form with near upright very slightly convex sides, the base unglazed with an area of glaze to the outer rim and the countersunk inner centre, the exterior painted with women playing with their children in an indoor setting, the calligraphy on the side reading as: the good looking ladies with the innocent children, the base with an iron-red written mark: Bao Qiang Zhai Zhi

Bao Qiang Zhai was one of the studio names used during Qianlong period, but this brush pot dates to the second half of 19th century

筒身直而微凹, 底部基本无釉, 外沿及中央凹圈上釉。筒身绘有仕女及婴孩玩耍学走情景, 室内陈设雅致, 筒身题款：风华佳人玉芳姿，童子相伴乐天真; 底部有矾红“宝蔷斋制” 手写款

宝蔷斋款见于乾隆时期瓷器款识, 但此笔筒应属19世纪后半期作品
