LOT NUMBER 31
Edwardian large text magnifying glass with horn handle, early C20th
This is an unusually large magnifying glass that has a buffalo horn as a handle. The large lens itself is set in brass with a brass attachment fitting to the handle. It would most likely have been used to read a newspaper by those for whom the text was too small and its size would have made it hard to misplace. Dating is probably to the early years of the twentieth century, the era of the celebrated Edwardian detective, Sherlock Holmes!Size: | 13cm diameter of glass, 30cm long |
Weight: | 475 gm |
Date: | Early C20th |
Condition: | Good condition, no issues |
Estimate: | £30 – 40 |
