LOT NUMBER 1
Pair of slender red glass bottle Vases, probably Joska Kristall, Germany, late C20th
A pair of elegantly blown vases of slender bottle form, the pear shape body rising to a long, narrow slightly concave neck with a wavy rim, the red glass with speckle effects and inset multicoloured decoration at the base. The style of the work here, in particular the red colourings and the multicoloured decoration at the base, has parallels with pieces made by the Joska Krystal glassworks at Bodenmais, Germany and similar pieces can be found with their label attached. Dating is most likely to the 1970s and it is unusual to find this form as a pair which considerably enhances their decorative appeal.Size: | H 34 cm and 33 cm W approx 11 cm each |
