Tall glass swirl design Vase, Herner Glas Germany, late C20th
A tall glass vase, the body of tapering form with a short concave neck and flaring rim, decorated in mustard and brown colourings and traces of white with a trailing swirl pattern, a small label to the side reading ‘Herner Glas’. The firm ‘Herner Glas’ was founded in 1986 at Herne, a town in the Ruhr area of Germany. It specialises in hand blown art glass and marble effect pieces, as here, are one of its particular specialities.
