A fine quality scent bottle and stopper, the bottle of slender ovoid form with a bud neck and two flat panels front and back, the stopper with a pear shape knob merging into the wand, the decoration with panels in silver leaf combined with purple and gold segments, the base signed 'Kalki’This stylish scent bottle is a product of Kalki Glass, the studio of Kalki Mansel (see image 9), an Irish glass artist and designer who graduated with a BA in Glass, Architectural Glass, and Ceramics from the University of Sunderland in 2007 and began working for Jane Charles Studio Glass in Newcastle and the National Glass Centre in Sunderland the following year. He is currently based in the North East of England as a practicing glass artist, as well as a glassblower for local studios and artists and sells his pieces through his own website and dealers’ galleries.
