Murano Glass Fish, second half C20th
A tropical glass fish amusingly and carefully modelled, the coloured body with stripes of turquoise and brown contrasting with the clear glass of the fins and tail and enlivened with two large glass eyes. A product of the workshops at Murano, Italy, the hand blown body displays the techniques so often employed there with the fins, tail and eyes applied later. The attraction of these pieces is obvious and this one has an exceptionally pleasing colour range and survives in excellent condition.| Size: | H 21 cm W 27 cm |
